When you have SSL installed, visitors to your website will see the green padlock showing that your site is secured and safe to visit.
Websites with SSL are ranked higher than websites which are not secured. Adding SSL means more people will find your website.
South African websites without SSL have been tagged as insecure when visitors try to open them in their broswers. This is very bad for business and most user’s won’t risk reading your website if they see this warning.
In short, look at the bit in front of your web address (URL) and check if it has http or https (note the “s”):
Having a secure connection means having SSL installed on your South African website. This gives users the confidence to browse your website in the knowledge that they are protected.
